Abstract
(EN)
A dielectric waveguide for propagating electromagnetic signals comprises a cladding member (102) extending a length between two ends (104). The cladding member is formed of a first dielectric material. The cladding member defines a core region (114) that extends through the cladding member along the length of the cladding member. The core region is filled with a second dielectric material having a dielectric constant value that differs from a dielectric constant value of the first dielectric material. The cladding member has an oblong cross-sectional shape, and the core region has a circular cross-sectional shape.

La présente invention concerne un guide d'ondes diélectrique servant à propager des signaux électromagnétiques et comprenant un élément de gainage (102) s'étendant entre deux extrémités (104). L'élément de gainage est formé d'un premier matériau diélectrique. L'élément de gainage définit une région centrale (114) qui s'étend à travers l'élément de gainage sur toute la longueur de l'élément de gainage. La région centrale est remplie avec un second matériau diélectrique ayant une valeur de constante diélectrique qui diffère d'une valeur de constante diélectrique du premier matériau diélectrique. L'élément de gainage a une section transversale de forme oblongue tandis que la région centrale a une section transversale de forme circulaire.
