Abstract:
The provided vehicle collision sensors (3, 8) are equipped with: piezoelectric polymer films (31, 81) containing piezoelectric elements (311, 811) that produce an output voltage (Vpz) as a result of deformation, also containing pairs of electrodes (312, 313, 812, 813, 816) that sandwich both surfaces of the piezoelectric elements, and configured in a manner such that one or more of the electrodes (312, 812, 816) are formed from a plurality of divided pieces (312a, 312b, 312c, 812a, 812b, 812c, 816a, 816b, 816c) that are separated from one another while joined to the piezoelectric elements; and conductive members (32, 82) for connecting the divided pieces to one another from the side of the divided pieces not joined to the piezoelectric elements, by being pressed between the films and a bumper cover (22) or being pressed between the films and a fastening member (84) that attaches the films to the bumper cover (22), and being pressed while the films are in a state of attachment to an inside surface (22a) of the bumper cover (22), which is provided on the front section (21) of a vehicle (VE).
