Abstract

There is disclosed an antenna system suitable for incorporation between the hinges joining a lid portion and a keyboard portion of a laptop computer. The antenna system is disposed on an elongate dielectric substrate having a longitudinal axis with first and second opposed ends and a predetermined reference point therebetween. The antenna system comprises a compound antenna structure disposed substantially laterally symmetrically about the reference point on the substrate, the compound antenna structure comprising at least a first unbalanced antenna with a first feed and a further antenna with a second feed; and first and second additional unbalanced antennas disposed substantially laterally symmetrically about the compound antenna structure on the longitudinal axis of the substrate, each of the first and second additional unbalanced antennas having a respective feed.

L'invention concerne un système d'antenne adapté pour être incorporé entre les charnières joignant une portion formant couvercle et une portion formant clavier d'un ordinateur portable. Le système d'antenne est disposé sur un substrat diélectrique allongé ayant un axe longitudinal présentant des première et deuxième extrémités opposées et un point de référence prédéterminé entre celles-ci. Le système d'antenne comprend une structure d'antenne composite disposée sensiblement avec symétrie latérale par rapport au point de référence sur le substrat, la structure d'antenne composite comprenant au moins une première antenne dissymétrique munie d'une première ligne d'alimentation et une antenne supplémentaire munie d'une deuxième ligne d'alimentation ; et des première et deuxième antennes dissymétriques supplémentaires disposées sensiblement avec symétrie latérale par rapport à la structure d'antenne composite sur l'axe longitudinal du substrat, chacune des première et deuxième antennes dissymétriques supplémentaires étant munie d'une ligne d'alimentation correspondante.
