Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a method for transforming non-elemental mercury contained in the compounds of a gaseous or liquid hydrocarbon feedstock into elemental mercury, in which the transformation of the mercury contained in the compounds of said feedstock into elemental mercury includes passing said feedstock into a conversion unit at a target temperature and for a set residence time that is suited to said target temperature, such that at least 90 wt % of the non-elemental mercury contained in the compounds of said feedstock are converted into elemental mercury, said transformation step being carried out in the absence of hydrogen and in the absence of a catalyst. (FR) Procédé de transformation du mercure non élémentaire contenu dans les composés d'une charge hydrocarbonée gazeuse ou liquide, en mercure élémentaire, dans lequel la transformation du mercure contenu dans les composés de ladite charge en mercure élémentaire comprend le passage de ladite charge dans une unité de conversion à une température cible et un temps de séjour fixé et adapté à ladite température cible de manière à ce qu'au moins 90% en poids du mercure non élémentaire contenu dans les composés de ladite charge soient convertis en mercure élémentaire, ladite étape de transformation étant réalisée en l'absence d'hydrogène et en l'absence de catalyseur.
