Title: ARAMID-COATED LITHIUM-ION BATTERY SEPARATOR AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Abstract:
Disclosed are an aramid-coated lithium-ion battery separator and manufacturing method thereof. The separator consists of a lithium-ion battery base film and coatings on one side or two sides of the base film. An aramid slurry is coated, water-soaked and dried to obtain the coatings. The aramid slurry consists of an aramid fiber solution, an emulsifier solution and a polymer adhesive. A hydrophilic emulsifier is introduced to replace an inorganic particle pore forming agent, and thus the coating uniformity and pore forming uniformity are increased, an interfacial hydrophilicity of the aramid slurry is improved, and the time needed for water soaking after coating is reduced, therefore enabling continuous large-scale production.
