A male connector having a locking fastener structure, comprising a housing (2) and a plastic core (1). The housing comprises an upper cover (21) and a lower cover (22). A locking fastener structure is arranged at either side of the plastic core. The locking fastener structure comprises metal flexible-piece locking fasteners (8). The metal flexible-piece locking fasteners are connected at one extremity thereof to the plastic core and extend out of the housing at the other extremity. Also, inverted hook parts (81) are arranged at the extremity of the metal flexible-piece locking fasteners extending out of the housing. A terminal base (3) is arranged within the plastic core. The terminal base comprises a plastic base (31) and terminals (32). Several of the terminals are provided; both the front and rear extremities thereof extend out of the plastic base. The front extremities of the terminals are provided with arced sections (321) for contacting terminals of a female connector. The plastic core is provided with multiple avoidance grooves (101) arranged at intervals. The front extremities of the terminals respectively pierce into the avoidance grooves. The male connector having the locking fastener structure provides reliable connection and high communication quality.
