Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed herein are embodiments of complexes exhibiting reversible light-induced magnetization switching with unprecedented lifetimes. In particular embodiments, the complexes are provided as organic thin films that can exhibit long lifetimes at ambient temperatures. In some representative embodiments, the complex comprises an electronically bistable cobalt complex functionalized with an optically bistable ligand. A photoisomerization-induced spin–charge excited state (PISCES) process can occur, resulting in the direct observation of light-induced spin state switching at room temperature in the solid state.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des modes de réalisation de complexes présentant une commutation de magnétisation induite par la lumière réversible avec des durées de vie sans précédent. Dans des modes de réalisation particuliers, les complexes sont fournis sous la forme de films minces organiques qui peuvent présenter de longues durées de vie à des températures ambiantes. Dans certains modes de réalisation représentatifs, le complexe comprend un complexe de cobalt bistable électroniquement fonctionnalisé avec un ligand bistable optiquement. Un processus d'état excité de charges de spins induit par une photoisomérisation (PISCES) peut se produire, ce qui entraîne l'observation directe de la commutation d'état de spin induite par la lumière à température ambiante à l'état solide.
