Abstract:
(EN) A method for modelling saturation in a reservoir, comprising: obtaining capillary pressure data representing capillary pressure in the reservoir; obtaining permeability data representing permeability in the reservoir; determining a number of pore throats represented by the capillary pressure data; creating hyperbolic tangents based on the capillary pressure data equal in number to the number of pore throats; combining hyperbolic tangents to create a curve to fit the capillary pressure data and to define hyperbolic tangent parameters; combining at least one of the hyperbolic tangent parameters with the permeability data to define a saturation height function; modelling a saturation in the reservoir using the saturation height function; and displaying the saturation model based on the saturation height function. The determination of the number of pore throats may comprise creating an initial capillary pressure curve using a predetermined number of multiple linked hyperbolic tangents, determining a first derivative of the capillary pressure curve, and determining a number of local minima in the capillary pressure curve.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de modéliser une saturation dans un réservoir qui consiste à : obtenir des données de pression capillaire représentant la pression capillaire dans un réservoir; obtenir des données de perméabilité représentant la perméabilité dans le réservoir; déterminer un certain nombre de seuils de pore représentés par les données de pression capillaire; créer des tangentes hyperboliques sur la base des données de pression capillaire dont le nombre est égal au nombre de seuils de pore; combiner les tangentes hyperboliques afin de créer une courbe pour correspondre aux données de pression capillaire et pour définir des paramètres de tangente hyperbolique; combiner au moins l'un des paramètres de tangente hyperbolique avec les données de perméabilité afin de définir une fonction de hauteur de saturation; modéliser une saturation dans le réservoir à l'aide de la fonction de hauteur de saturation; et afficher le modèle de saturation sur la base de la fonction de hauteur de saturation. La détermination du nombre de seuils de pore peut consister à créer une courbe de pression capillaire initiale à l'aide d'un nombre prédéfini de plusieurs tangentes hyperboliques liées, à déterminer une première dérivée de la courbe de pression capillaire, et à déterminer un certain nombre de minima locaux dans la courbe de pression capillaire.
