The invention pertains to devices and methods for rapid release of a patterned tissue module. The invention pertains to a device comprising a substrate and a pattern of shape- memory polymer fabricated upon the substrate, wherein the shape-memory polymer is converted to a deformed state by exposure to an external stimulus, for example, a change in temperature, pH, ionic strength, solvent, salt, surfactant, or an electric or magnetic field. The invention also pertains to a method of releasing a patterned tissue module, the method comprising the steps of plating cells in the device of the invention, culturing the cells to produce the patterned tissue module on the pattern of shape-memory polymer, applying the external stimulus to the device, and collecting the patterned tissue module released from the pattern of shape-memory polymer.

L'invention se rapporte à des dispositifs et des procédés pour une libération rapide d'un module de tissu à motifs. L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif comprenant un substrat et un motif de polymère à mémoire de forme, fabriqué sur le substrat, ledit polymère à mémoire de forme étant converti en un état déformé par exposition à un stimulus externe, par exemple, un changement de température, pH, force ionique, solvant, sel, tensioactif, ou un champ électrique ou magnétique. L'invention se rapporte également à un procédé de libération d'un module de tissu à motifs, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à étaler des cellules dans le dispositif de l'invention, cultiver des cellules pour produire le module de tissu à motifs sur le motif de polymère à mémoire de forme, appliquer le stimulus externe au dispositif, et recueillir le module de tissu à motifs libéré à partir du motif de polymère à mémoire de forme.
