Abstract:

(EN)The purpose of the present invention is to provide azo compounds that are useful as a dichroic pigment for use in a polarizing plate that has excellent polarizing performance and durability and that causes little color leakage in the visible light region and in a neutral-gray polarizing plate that is for onboard use in a vehicle and that uses the abovementioned polarizing plate. An azo compound represented by formula (1) or a salt thereof. (In the formula, A is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy group, a C1-5 alkoxy group that has a sulfo group, and/or a naphthyl group that has a sulfo group, one or more of R₁-R₄ are a C1-4 alkoxy group that has a sulfo group, and the other R₁-R₄ are each independently a hydrogen atom, a C1-4 alkyl group, or a C1-4 alkoxy group.)
(FR)La présente invention concerne des composés azoïques qui sont utiles comme pigment dichroïque à utiliser dans une plaque polarisante présentant une performance de polarisation et une durabilité excellentes et qui provoque peu de dégorgement de couleur dans la région de la lumière visible et dans une plaque polarisante gris-neutre qui sert à une utilisation à bord d'un véhicule et qui utilise la plaque polarisante ci-dessus mentionnée. Un composé azoïque représenté par la formule (1) ou un sel de ce dernier.
