Abstract
(EN) A keel canting mechanism (220) for a sailing vessel having a hull, a keel and a mast is disclosed. The mechanism comprises a worm gear (3 10) co-axial with the longitudinal axis of the vessel about which the keel rotates during a canting movement. There is a double enveloping worm in mesh with the worm gear and means for driving the worm. The worm gear is fast with the keel and, when rotated by the worm (320), displaces the keel through a canting movement. The gear has a plurality of holes (343) in it into which pins can be inserted to lock the gear, and hence the keel, in the position to which it has been moved by the worm (320).
(FR) L'invention concerne un mécanisme d'inclinaison de quille d'un voilier présentant une coque, une quille et un mât. Le mécanisme comprend un engrenage à vis sans fin coaxial à l'axe longitudinal du voilier et autour duquel la quille tourne pendant un mouvement d'inclinaison, une double vis globique en prise avec l'engrenage à vis sans fin, et des moyens d'entrainement de la vis sans fin. L'engrenage à vis sans fin est fixé à la quille et, lorsqu'il est mis en rotation par la vis sans fin, déplace la quille par un mouvement d'inclinaison. L'engrenage présente une pluralité de trous dans lesquels des broches peuvent être insérées pour verrouiller l'engrenage, et donc la quille, dans la position dans laquelle elle a été déplacée par la vis sans fin.
