A method for preparing a core-shell nanocrystal can include mixing an M-containing precursor solution, an X-containing precursor solution, and an acid or alcohol in an inert atmosphere at a first temperature to form a reaction mixture; maintaining the reaction mixture at the first temperature to grow the MX core of the nanocrystal; raising the temperature of the reaction mixture to a second temperature; and maintaining the reaction mixture at the second temperature to grow a shell of the nanocrystal.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un nanocristal de type cœur-écorce comprenant le mélange d'une solution précurseur contenant M, d'une solution précurseur contenant X, et d'un acide ou d'un alcool sous une atmosphère inerte à une première température pour former un mélange réactionnel ; le maintien du mélange réactionnel à la première température pour faire croître le cœur MX du nanocristal ; l'élévation de la température du mélange réactionnel jusqu'à une seconde température ; et le maintien du mélange réactionnel à la seconde température pour faire croître une écorce du nanocristal.
