A radio communication device applies a beamforming pattern defining plurality of beams (411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416, 417). From the plurality of beams (411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416, 417), the radio communication device selects at least one main beam (412) and a set of auxiliary beams (411, 413). Exclusively on the at least one main beam (412), the radio communication device sends radio transmissions to a further radio communication device (420). Further, the radio communication device monitors signals transmitted by the further communication device (420) on the at least one main beam (412) and the set of auxiliary beams (411, 413). Depending on the monitored signals, the communication device reselects at least one beam from the set of auxiliary beams as the at least one main beam.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de radiocommunication qui applique un modèle de formation de faisceaux définissant une pluralité de faisceaux (411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416, 417). Parmi la pluralité de faisceaux (411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416, 417), le dispositif de radiocommunication sélectionne au moins un faisceau principal (412) et un ensemble de faisceaux auxiliaires (411, 413). Exclusivement sur l'au moins un faisceau principal (412), le dispositif de radiocommunication envoie des transmissions radio à un autre dispositif de radiocommunication (420). En outre, le dispositif de radiocommunication surveille les signaux émis par l'autre dispositif de communication (420) sur l'au moins un faisceau principal (412) et l'ensemble de faisceaux auxiliaires (411, 413). En fonction des signaux surveillés, le dispositif de communication resélectionne, parmi l'ensemble de faisceaux auxiliaires, au moins un faisceau à titre dudit au moins un faisceau principal.
