(EN)A core barrel assembly for a drill string comprising a core barrel, an inner tube assembly removably positionable within the core barrel, and a mechanical shock inducement mechanism for inducing at least one shock, and preferably a plurality of shocks, in the inner tube assembly. This induced shocks help reduce occurrences of blockage of core samples entering the inner tube assembly in fractured or brittle rock formations.
(FR)L'invention concerne un ensemble formant tube carottier pour un train de tiges de forage comportant un tube carottier, un ensemble formant tube intérieur en mesure d'être positionné de manière amovible à l'intérieur du tube carottier, et un mécanisme d'induction de chocs mécaniques servant à induire au moins un choc, et de préférence une pluralité de chocs, dans l'ensemble formant tube intérieur. Ces chocs induits aident à réduire des événements de blocage d'échantillons carottés entrant dans l'ensemble formant tube intérieur dans des formations rocheuses fracturées ou fragiles.
