This technology relates to a solid-state image capturing device, an electronic instrument, and an AD converting device which make it possible to suppress the occurrence of errors in AD conversion results. The solid-state image capturing device is provided with: a pixel unit having a plurality of pixels; a comparator which compares a pixel signal, output from a pixel, with a reference signal; and a counter which counts a comparison time of the comparator. The comparator is provided with: a first amplifier which performs a comparison operation between the pixel signal and the reference signal; a second amplifier which has a first transistor and which amplifies an output signal from the first amplifier; and a second transistor having the same polarity as the first transistor. The gate of the second transistor is connected to the output terminal of the first amplifier, and the source and drain of the second transistor are connected to the same fixed potential as the source of the first transistor. This technology is applicable to CMOS image sensors, for example.

La technologie de l'invention concerne un dispositif de capture d'image à semi-conducteurs, un instrument électronique, et un dispositif de conversion analogique-numérique qui permettent de supprimer l'apparition d'erreurs des résultats de conversion analogique-numérique. Le dispositif de capture d'image à semi-conducteurs comprend : une unité de pixels présentant une pluralité de pixels ; un comparateur qui compare un signal de pixel, et une sortie produite par un pixel, avec un signal de référence ; et un compteur qui mesure un temps de comparaison du comparateur. Le comparateur comprend : un premier amplificateur qui effectue une opération de comparaison entre le signal de pixel et le signal de référence ; un second amplificateur qui dispose d’un premier transistor et qui amplifie un signal de sortie provenant du premier amplificateur ; et un second transistor présentant la même polarité que le premier transistor. La grille du second transistor est connectée à la borne de sortie du premier amplificateur, et la source et le drain du second transistor sont connectés au même potentiel fixe que la source du premier transistor. Cette invention peut s’appliquer par exemple à des capteurs d'image CMOS.
