Abstract

Assembly that comprises cardan joint converts the linear oscillations of unstable base Into the angular oscillations of the camera base. To avoid resonance vibrations in the cardan joint, servo drives are provided that receive feedback from the active forces. Servo drives allow the unstable base to swing and vibrate without transmitting vibrations to the stabilized part. A sensor for measuring oscillations is mounted on the stabilized part. Signal from oscillation sensor controls the servo drives for compensation of active force that would make swinging of stabilized part. Thus the servomechanism performs the function of active dampers and prevents harmonic oscillations in the assembly. Both horizontal and vertical oscillations can be stabilized. Angular oscillations of the camera are stabilized by additional rotational assembly. While the design is relatively simple, it ensures high damping ratio in a wide range of vibration frequencies and amplitudes. Besides camera applications, it can be also used to stabilize other equipment on mobile platforms.

L'invention concerne un ensemble, qui comprend un joint de cardan qui convertit les oscillations linéaires d'une base instable en des oscillations angulaires de la base de caméra. Pour éviter des vibrations de résonance dans le joint de cardan, des dispositifs d'entraînement asservis sont utilisés, ces derniers recevant une rétroaction à partir des forces actives. Les dispositifs d'entraînement asservis permettent à la base instable d'osciller et de vibrer, sans transmettre de vibrations à la partie stabilisée. Un capteur pour mesurer des oscillations est monté sur la partie stabilisée. Un signal en provenance du capteur d'oscillation commande les dispositifs d'entraînement asservis pour la compensation d'une force active qui pourrait provoquer un balancement de partie stabilisée. Ainsi, le servomécanisme assure la fonction d'amortisseurs actifs et évite des oscillations harmoniques dans l'ensemble. Des oscillations aussi bien horizontales que verticales peuvent être stabilisées. Des oscillations angulaires de la caméra sont stabilisées par un ensemble de rotation additionnel. Même si la conception est relativement simple, cette dernière assure un taux d'amortissement élevé dans une large plage de fréquences et d'amplitudes de vibration. En plus des applications à des caméras, ladite conception peut être également utilisée pour stabiliser d'autres équipements sur des plates-formes mobiles.
