[Problem] To minimize transmission loss in spite of expansion and contraction of an adhesive in an adhesive-filled part. [Solution] The present invention is a ferrule for retaining the ends of optical fibers, wherein the invention is provided with a plurality of fiber holes lined up in a prescribed direction in order for optical fibers to be inserted therein, and an adhesive-filled part that is intended to be filled with an adhesive, the interior of the adhesive-filled part having an internal opening surface of the plurality of fiber holes, and a facing surface facing the opening surface. The adhesive-filled part has an upper-side opening surface that opens to the top surface, which is the surface on the side filled with the adhesive, and a lower-side opening surface that opens to the bottom surface, which is the surface on the side opposite to the top surface.

L'invention vise à réduire au maximum la perte de transmission en dépit de la dilatation et de la contraction d'un adhésif dans une partie remplie d'adhésif. La présente invention propose une ferrule pour retenir les extrémités de fibres optiques. La ferrule selon l'invention comprend : une pluralité de trous à fibres alignés dans une direction prescrite pour que des fibres optiques soient insérées dans ces trous; et une partie remplie d'adhésif prévue pour être remplie d'un adhésif. L'intérieur de la partie remplie d'adhésif comporte une surface d'ouverture interne de la pluralité de trous à fibres, et une surface opposée dirigée vers la surface d'ouverture. La partie remplie d'adhésif comporte une surface d'ouverture de côté supérieur qui débouche sur la surface supérieure, qui est la surface sur le côté rempli avec l'adhésif, et une surface d'ouverture de côté inférieur qui débouche sur la surface inférieure, qui est la surface sur le côté opposé à la surface supérieure.
