Provided is a ceramic honeycomb structure that has a multiplicity of flow paths partitioned by a porous partition wall and is characterized in that said partition wall (a) has a porosity of at least 55% but less than 65%, and (b) has substrate branches numbering at least 35000 [/mm3] [the number of substrate branches is the number of branching points (joining points of three or more branches and joining points of branches having different widths) per unit volume in a network structure obtained by performing thinning processing on a three-dimensional structure of a substrate that constitutes the partition wall, said structure being obtained by X-ray CT measurement of the partition wall.]

L'invention concerne une structure en nid d'abeilles en céramique qui a une multiplicité de passages d'écoulement séparés par une paroi de séparation poreuses et est caractérisée en ce que ladite paroi de séparation (a) a une porosité d'au moins 55 % mais de moins de 65 %, et (b) a des ramifications de substrat au nombre d'au moins 35000 [/mm3] [le nombre de ramifications de substrat étant le nombre de points de ramifications (points de jonction de trois ramifications ou plus et points de jonction de ramifications ayant différentes largeurs) par unité de volume dans une structure de réseau obtenue en effectuant un traitement d'amincissement sur une structure tridimensionnelle d'un substrat qui constitue la paroi de séparation, ladite structure étant obtenue par mesure de tomographie par ordinateur (CT) par rayons X de la paroi de séparation.]
