A flange assembly and related methods of connecting two exhaust pipes together with a flange assembly are provided. The flange assembly includes a first flange having a first mating face and a second flange connected to the first flange, wherein the second flange has a second mating face. A sealing structure is formed with the mating faces of the first and second flanges, wherein the sealing structure comprises a groove positioned on the first mating face and a ridge positioned in the second mating face, wherein the ridge occupies at least a portion of the groove with the first flange connected to the second flange.

L'invention concerne un ensemble de brides et des procédés associés de liaison de deux tuyaux d'échappement l'un à l'autre avec un ensemble de brides. L'ensemble de brides comprend une première bride ayant une première face d'accouplement et une seconde bride reliée à la première bride, la seconde bride ayant une seconde face d'accouplement. Une structure d'étanchéité est formée avec les faces d'accouplement des première et seconde brides, la structure d'étanchéité comprenant une rainure positionnée sur la première face d'accouplement et une arête positionnée dans la seconde face d'accouplement, la nervure occupant au moins une partie de la rainure avec la première bride reliée à la seconde bride.
