The invention relates to a surround view system for a vehicle (1), comprising at least one camera (2) to be positioned in or on the vehicle (1) to capture at least a part of the vehicle's (1) surroundings, an evaluation unit (7) for processing images captured by the at least one camera (2) and at least one display (8) for displaying a top-view image generated by the evaluation unit (7). Hereby, the evaluation unit (7) is configured for obtaining the top-view image by calculating a projection of the captured images onto a virtual projection surface and by calculating a top-view of the projection on the virtual projection surface. The virtual projection surface comprises a flat bottom part (4) and a rising part (5) adjacent to the flat bottom part (4), wherein, in an area comprising the rising part at least at one side of the vehicle (1) at least over a length of the vehicle (1), a curvature of the virtual projection surface is zero in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle (1). Furthermore, the invention relates to a vehicle (1) comprising such a surround view system.

L'invention concerne un système de visualisation périphérique d'un véhicule (1), comprenant au moins une caméra (2) à disposer dans le véhicule (1) ou sur celui-ci pour capturer au moins une partie de la périphérie du véhicule (1), une unité d'évaluation (7) servant à traiter les images capturées par ladite caméra (2) et au moins un dispositif d'affichage (8) servant à afficher une image de vue plongeante générée par l'unité d'évaluation (7). De ce fait, l'unité d'évaluation (7) est conçue pour obtenir l'image de vue plongeante par calcul d'une projection des images capturées sur une surface de projection virtuelle et par calcul d'une vue plongeante de la projection sur la surface de projection virtuelle. La surface de projection virtuelle comprend une partie inférieure plate (4) et une partie montante (5) adjacente à la partie inférieure plate (4), une courbure de la surface de projection virtuelle étant nulle dans une direction longitudinale du véhicule (1) dans une zone comprenant la partie montante au moins au niveau d'un côté du véhicule (1) au moins sur une longueur du véhicule (1). En outre, l'invention concerne un véhicule (1) comprenant un tel système de visualisation périphérique.
