CLAIMS

1. A seal, comprising a front fitting (1, 21, 41), a rear fitting (2, 22, 42) and a compressible part (3, 23, 43) placed between the front fitting (1, 21, 41) and the rear fitting (2, 22, 42), which seal is a transition for a conduit through a wall (16), wherein the conduit is received in a central through opening of the seal and wherein the seal is received in an opening of the wall (16), characterized in that in the mounted seal the compressible part (3, 23, 43) seals inwards against the conduit and outwards against an inner surface of the opening of the wall (16) and that the axial extension of the compressible part (3, 23, 43) is larger than the thickness of the wall (16) at the opening ofthe wall (16).

2. The seal of claim 1, wherein the rear fitting (2, 22, 42) has a circumferential outer folded edge (8, 29, 47), which folded edge (8, 29, 47) is perpendicular to the adjacent part of the rear fitting (2, 22, 42) and is directed towards the front fitting (1, 21, 41) in the assembled seal.

3. The seal of claim 1 or 2, wherein the compressible part (3, 23, 43) has an outer circumferential recess (13, 35, 52) at one end and/or an outer circumferential lip (14, 36, 53) at the opposite end, which lip (14, 36, 53) is perpendicular to the compressible part (3, 23, 43).

The seal of any of the preceding claims, wherein the seal is assembled by means of screws (15) going through openings (6, 27, 45) of the front fitting (1, 21, 41), openings (12, 51) of the compressible part (3, 23, 43) and openings (10, 32, 49) of the rear fitting (2, 22, 42), which openings (10, 32, 49) of the rear fitting (2, 22, 42) are threaded for cooperation with threads on the screws (15) and wherein the screws (15) act to force the rear fitting (2, 22, 42) and the front fitting (1, 21, 41) toward each other when the screws (15) are tightened.

5. The seal of any of the preceding claims, wherein one end of the

compressible part (3, 23, 43) is placed inside the outer folded edge (8, 29, 47) of the rear fitting (2, 22, 42).

6. The seal of any of the preceding claims, wherein the central through opening of the seal is formed of a central through opening (5, 26, 44) of the front fitting (1, 21,

41) , a central through opening (11, 33, 50) of the compressible part (3, 23, 43) and a central through opening (9, 31, 48) of the rear fitting (2, 22, 42).

7. The seal of any of the preceding claims, wherein the front fitting (1, 21, 41) has one or more indication openings (7, 28, 46).

The seal of any of the preceding claims, wherein the front fitting (1 , 21) has an inner folded edge (4, 24) at the outer circumference of the through opening (9, 26) of the front fitting (1, 21), which folded edge (4,24) is perpendicular to the adjacent part of the front fitting (1 , 21) and is directed away from the rear fitting (2, 22) in the assembled seal.

9. The seal of any of the preceding claims, wherein the front fitting (21) has an outer folded edge (25) at the outer circumference of the front fitting (21) and which folded edge (25) is perpendicular to the adjacent part of the front fitting (21).

10. The seal of claim 9, wherein the rear fitting (22) has an inner folded edge (30) surrounding the central through opening (31), wherein the inner folded edge (30) is perpendicular to the adj acent part of the rear fitting (22) and wherein the inner folded edge (30) is directed away from the front fitting (21) in the assembled seal.

11. The seal of any of the preceding claims, wherein the conduit is a pipe (17).
