Provided is a method for producing a surface-treated steel sheet (1) for battery containers, wherein a dull or semi-glossy nickel plating layer (12) is formed on at least a surface of a steel sheet (11), said surface forming the outer surface of a battery container. In this method for producing a surface-treated steel sheet (1) for battery containers, the nickel plating layer (12) is formed by performing a plating process at a bath temperature of 70°C or more.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une tôle d'acier traitée en surface (1) destinée à des réservoirs de batterie, une couche de plaquage de nickel terne ou semi-brillante (12) étant formée sur au moins une surface d'une tôle d'acier (11), ladite surface formant la surface externe d'un réservoir de batterie. Dans ce procédé de fabrication d'une tôle d'acier traitée en surface (1) destinée à des réservoirs de batterie, la couche de plaquage de nickel (12) est formée en exécutant un processus de placage à une température de bain de 70 °C ou plus.
