Provided is a relay control device allowing the amount of electric conduction through a coil of an electromagnetic relay to be reduced. The relay control device causes a power source voltage to step down at a step-down DC/DC conversion unit 14, and outputs the stepped-down voltage out to a coil 52 of an electromagnetic relay 5. The relay control device comprises a control unit 11 for generating and outputting a PFM signal for controlling the operation of the step-down DC/DC conversion unit 14, a filter unit 12 allowing a PFM signal of a predetermined frequency to pass through, and a circuit portion 13 for controlling the operation of the step-down DC/DC conversion unit 14 in response to the output signal from the filter unit 12. When the filter unit 12 does not allow the PFM signal to pass through, the circuit portion 13 performs control wherein no step-down is performed by the step-down DC/DC conversion unit 14, and the power source voltage is output to the coil 52 of the electromagnetic relay 5. When the filter unit 12 does not allow the PFM signal to pass through, transistors T1 and T2 in the internal circuit of the circuit portion 13 block the current paths from the power source potential to the grounding potential.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de commande de relais permettant à la quantité de conduction électrique à travers une bobine d'un relais électromagnétique d'être réduite. Le dispositif de commande de relais amène une tension de source d'alimentation à s'abaisser en correspondance d'une unité de conversion CC/CC d'abaissement, et délivre en sortie la tension abaissée à une bobine 52 d'un relais électromagnétique 5. Le dispositif de commande de relais comprend une unité de commande 11 pour générer et délivrer en sortie un signal PFM pour commander le fonctionnement de l'unité de conversion CC/CC d'abaissement 14, une unité de filtre 12 permettant à un signal PFM d'une fréquence prédéterminée de passer à travers, et une partie de circuit 13 pour commander le fonctionnement de l'unité de conversion CC/CC d'abaissement 14 en réponse au signal de sortie provenant de l'unité de filtre 12. Lorsque l'unité de filtre 12 ne permet pas au signal PFM de passer à travers, la partie de circuit 13 effectue une commande, aucun abaissement n'étant effectué par l'unité de conversion CC/CC, d'abaissement 14, et la tension de source d'alimentation est délivrée en sortie à la bobine 52 du relais électromagnétique 5. Lorsque l'unité de filtre 12 ne permet pas au signal PFM de passer à travers, des transistors T1 et T2 dans le circuit interne de la partie de circuit 13 bloquent les chemins de courant à partir du potentiel de source d'alimentation vers le potentiel de mise à la terre.
