The present invention addresses the problem of effectively manufacturing a glass panel unit in which a spacer is sandwiched between a pair of glass substrates. A first glass substrate (11), a die (2) provided with a piercing part (21), a sheet material (3), and a punch part (4) are set so as to be arranged in this sequence. Next, the punch part (4) is punched into the sheet material (3) so as to cause a portion of the sheet material (3) to be die cut by the piercing part (21) of the die (2). The die cut portion is disposed on the first glass substrate (11) by the punch part (4) and this portion constitutes a spacer. Then, a second glass substrate is placed on top of the first glass substrate (11) so as to sandwich the spacer, thereby forming the glass panel unit.

Le problème abordé par la présente invention est de pourvoir à un procédé de fabrication efficace d'un panneau de verre unitaire comportant un élément espaceur pris en sandwich entre une paire de substrats en verre. La solution selon l'invention porte sur un montage comprenant un premier substrat en verre (11), une matrice (2) pourvue d'une partie perçage (21), un matériau en feuille (3), et une partie emporte-pièce (4) agencés dans cet ordre. La partie emporte-pièce (4) est ensuite enfoncée dans le matériau en feuille (3) de façon à provoquer la découpe à l'emporte-pièce par la partie perçage (21) de la matrice (2) d'une partie du matériau en feuille (3). La partie découpée à l'emporte-pièce est placée sur le premier substrat en verre (11) par la partie emporte-pièce (4) et cette partie constitue un élément d'espacement. Un second substrat en verre est ensuite placé sur la partie supérieure du premier substrat en verre (11) de façon à prendre l'élément d'espacement en sandwich, et à former ainsi le panneau de verre unitaire.

 一対のガラス基板の間にスペーサが挟み込まれたガラスパネルユニットを、効率的に製造する。第一ガラス基板(11)と、貫通部(21)を設けた抜き型(2)と、シート材(3)と、パンチ部(4)とが、この順に並んで位置するようにセットされる。次いで、パンチ部(4)がシート材(3)に打ち込まれることで、抜き型(2)の貫通部(21)を通じてシート材(3)の一部が打ち抜かれる。打ち抜かれた一部が、パンチ部(4)によって第一ガラス基板(11)に配置され、この一部でスペーサが構成される。次いで、第一ガラス基板(11)に対してスペーサを挟むように第二ガラス基板が重ねられ、ガラスパネルユニットが形成される。
