Abstract

Quantitative analysis of a tissue sample includes carrying out a ploidy measurement on a plurality of nuclei of the sample to determine the ploidy type of a sample and also carrying out a stroma measurement on a section to determine the stroma type of a sample. The ploidy type, e.g. diploid or non-diploid, and the stroma type, high or low stroma, give an improved patient survival estimate than the ploidy type alone.

L'invention concerne l'analyse quantitative d'un échantillon de tissu et comprend les étapes consistant à réaliser une mesure de ploïdie sur une pluralité de noyaux de l'échantillon pour déterminer le type de ploïdie d'un échantillon et à réaliser également une mesure de stroma sur une section pour déterminer le type de stroma d'un échantillon. Le type de ploïdie, par ex. diploïde ou non diploïde, et le type de stroma, tel que stroma élevé ou bas, donne une estimation améliorée de survie du patient par rapport au type de ploïdie seul.
