Provided is a device for encoding a moving image, capable of reducing memory capacity when blocks of multiple sizes are used in moving image encoding. The device for encoding a moving image according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a writing means that, upon reception of a block division mode, a block location and image data, determines a disposition position in an image storage means on the basis of the block division mode and the block location, wherein the block division mode is associated with the size of an image block to which a filter of at least 3 taps used in moving image encoding is applicable, and the block location indicates a number assigned to the image block, and that stores the received image data in the disposition position as the image block of said size; and a readout means that, upon reception of the block division mode and the block location, reads out the data stored in the disposition position of the image storage means as the image block. The block division mode is assigned from multiple different block division modes, each associated with the size of an image block.

L'invention concerne un dispositif pour coder une image animée, capable de réduire la capacité de mémoire lorsque des blocs de multiples tailles sont utilisés dans le codage d'une image animée. Le dispositif de codage d'une image animée selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention comprend : des moyens d'écriture qui, lors de la réception d'un mode de division en blocs, d'un emplacement de bloc et de données d'image, déterminent une position de disposition dans des moyens de stockage d'image en se basant sur le mode de division en blocs et l'emplacement de bloc. Le mode de division en blocs est associé à la taille d'un bloc d'image auquel peut être appliqué un filtre à au moins 3 prises utilisé dans le codage de l'image animée, et l'emplacement de bloc indique un nombre associé au bloc d'image et qui stocke les données d'image reçues dans la position de disposition en tant que bloc d'image de ladite taille ; et des moyens de lecture qui, lors de la réception du mode de division en blocs et de l'emplacement de bloc, lisent les données stockées dans la position de disposition des moyens de stockage d'image en tant que bloc d'image. Le mode de division en blocs est attribuée à partir de multiples modes de division en blocs différents, chacun associé à la taille d'un bloc d'image.
