This on-vehicle device is provided to a vehicle, is provided with a wireless communication unit (11, 11a) for communicating and connecting with a portable terminal positioned in a communication range to implement wireless communication, and performs services using the wireless communication implemented by the wireless communication unit. The on-vehicle device is provided with: a parking determination unit (19) which determines whether the vehicle is parked; and a communication-range changing unit (20, 20a) which, in cases when the parking determination unit has determined that the vehicle is parked, sets the communication range of the wireless communication unit so as to be narrower than before the parking determination unit determined that the vehicle is parked.

L'invention concerne un dispositif embarqué sur un véhicule comprenant une unité de communication sans fil (11, 11a) pour la communication et la connexion avec un terminal portable situé dans une portée de communication afin de mettre en œuvre une communication sans fil, et exécutant des services à l'aide de la communication sans fil mise en œuvre par l'unité de communication sans fil. Le dispositif embarqué comprend : une unité de détermination de stationnement (19) qui détermine si le véhicule est stationné ; et une unité de changement de portée de communication (20, 20a) qui, dans les cas où l'unité de détermination de stationnement a déterminé que le véhicule est stationné, règle la portée de communication de l'unité de communication sans fil de manière qu'elle soit plus courte qu'avant que l'unité de détermination de stationnement ait déterminé que le véhicule est stationné.
