Abstract

The invention relates to a tyre object provided with an elastomer layer sealed against inflation gases, said elastomer layer comprising as majority elastomer a thermoplastic elastomer in the form of a block copolymer which includes: a) an elastomer block comprising at least units from isobutylene, and having a glass transition temperature no higher than -20 °C; and b) one or more thermoplastic blocks, the one or more thermoplastic blocks each including at least one first block made up of units from at least one first polymerisable monomer and at least one second block, the or said second blocks being a statistical copolymer made up of units from at least one second polymerisable monomer and units from β-pinene. The invention also relates to a method for sealing a tyre object against inflation gases.

L'invention concerne un objet pneumatique pourvu d'une couche élastomère étanche aux gaz de gonflage, ladite couche élastomère comportant à titre d'élastomère majoritaire un élastomère thermoplastique sous forme d'un copolymère à blocs qui comprend : a) un bloc élastomère comportant au moins des unités issues de l'isobutylène, et présentant une température de transition vitreuse inférieure ou égale à -20°C, b) un ou plusieurs blocs thermoplastiques, le ou les blocs thermoplastiques comprenant chacun au moins un premier bloc constitué d'unités issues d'au moins un premier monomère polymérisable et au moins un deuxième bloc, le ou lesdits deuxièmes blocs étant un copolymère statistique constitué d'unités issues d'au moins un second monomère polymérisable et d'unités issues du β- pinène. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour étanchéifier un objet pneumatique vis-à-vis des gaz de gonflage.
