Es wird ein Verfahren zur Entsalzung von Salzwasser (1) vorgeschlagen, das die folgenden Schritte umfasst: - Bereitstellen eines Eisspeichers (3), eines Kälteverbrauchers (5), eines außerhalb des Eisspeichers (3) angeordneten Wärmeübertragers (7) und einer Kältemaschine (9); - Einleitung (100) des Salzwassers (1) in den Wärmeübertrager (7); - Kühlung des Wärmeübertragers (7) mittels der Kältemaschine (9), sodass innerhalb des Wärmeübertragers (7) eine wenigstens teilweise Wandlung des eingeleiteten Salzwassers (1) zu Eis (11) erfolgt; - wenigstens teilweises Entfernen des Eises (11) aus dem Wärmeübertrager (7); - Speicherung des entfernten Eises (11) im Eisspeicher (3); - Kühlung des Kälteverbrauchers (5) mittels des Eisspeichers (3), sodass ein wenigstens teilweises Schmelzen des gespeicherten Eises (11) zu einem Produktwasser (42) erfolgt; und - Ausleitung (103) des Produktwassers (42) aus dem Eisspeicher (3).

The invention relates to a method for desalinating saltwater (1), which comprises the following steps: providing an ice store (3), a cold consumer (5), a heat exchanger (7) arranged outside of the ice store (3), and a refrigeration machine (9); introducing (100) the saltwater (1) into the heat exchanger (7); cooling the heat exchanger (7) by means of the refrigeration machine (9) such that the introduced saltwater (1) is at least partially converted into ice (11) within the heat exchanger (7); at least partially removing the ice (11) from the heat exchanger (7); storing the removed ice (11) in the ice store (3); cooling the cold consumer (5) by means of the ice store (3) such that the stored ice (11) at least partially melts in order to form product water (42); and conducting (103) the product water (42) out of the ice store (3).
