The present invention yields a field sequential liquid crystal display device with which it is possible to minimize the incidence of color shift. A field sequential liquid crystal display device, wherein the liquid crystal display device is provided with: a color correction unit (122) for applying, to inputted grayscale data indicating a pixel color, a color correction process to change saturation without changing hue, and outputting pixel data obtained by the color correction process as digital grayscale data (D1-D3) that corresponds to each field; and a digital grayscale data correction unit (124) for performing correction on the digital grayscale data (D1-D3) outputted from the color correction unit (122) to emphasize the temporal change of data values. The color correction unit (122) applies the color correction process to the inputted grayscale data in such a way that the colors based on the pixel data obtained by the color correction process can be displayed on the liquid crystal panel by a field sequential scheme.

La présente invention permet d'obtenir un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides à séquence de champs, au moyen duquel il est possible de réduire au minimum l'incidence de variation chromatique. L'invention concerne ainsi un dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides à séquence de champs, ledit dispositif d'affichage à cristaux liquides étant pourvu : d'une unité de correction chromatique (122) permettant d'appliquer, à des données d'échelle de gris entrées qui indiquent une couleur de pixel, un traitement de correction chromatique en vue de modifier la saturation sans modifier la teinte, et de produire des données de pixels obtenues par le biais du traitement de correction chromatique en tant que données d'échelle de gris numérique (D1-D3) qui correspondent à chaque champ; et d'une unité de correction de données (124) d'échelle de gris numérique permettant de mettre en œuvre une correction sur les données d'échelle de gris numérique (D1-D3) produites à partir de l'unité de correction chromatique (122) en vue d'accentuer la variation temporelle des valeurs de données. L'unité de correction chromatique (122) applique le traitement de correction chromatique aux données d'échelle de gris entrées de sorte que les couleurs reposant sur les données de pixels obtenues par le biais du traitement de correction chromatique puissent être affichées sur le panneau à cristaux liquides par un schéma séquentiel de champs.

 色シフトの発生を抑制することのできる、フィールドシーケンシャル方式の液晶表示装置を実現する。 フィールドシーケンシャル方式の液晶表示装置において、画素の色を示す入力階調データに対して色相を変化させることなく彩度を変化させる色補正処理を施して当該色補正処理によって得られる画素データを各フィールドに対応するデータであるデジタル階調データ(D1~D3)として出力する色補正部(122)と、色補正部(122)から出力されたデジタル階調データ(D1~D3)に対してデータ値の時間的変化を強調する補正を行うデジタル階調データ補正部(124)とが設けられる。色補正部(122)は、色補正処理によって得られる画素データに基づく色が液晶パネルにフィールドシーケンシャル方式で表示することのできる色となるように、入力階調データに対して色補正処理を施す。
