Abstract
(EN) The present disclosure relates to an image processing device and image processing method that make it possible to immediately display an image of the range of vision of a user. An encoder encodes an omnidirectional image, which comprises images of a plurality of surfaces of a cube generated from images in every direction, for each surface at a high resolution to generate a high-resolution encoded stream corresponding to each surface. The encoder encodes the omnidirectional image at a low resolution to generate a low-resolution encoded stream. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to an image display system that generates an omnidirectional image and displays an image of the range of vision of a user.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de traitement d'image qui permettent l'affichage immédiat d'une image de la plage de vision d'un utilisateur. Un codeur code une image omnidirectionnelle, qui comprend des images d'une pluralité de surfaces de cube générées à partir d'images dans toutes les directions, pour chaque surface haute résolution afin de générer un flux codé haute résolution correspondant à chaque surface.
