Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a solid thermoset foam. Said method includes the following consecutive steps: (a) providing an expandable thermosettable composition containing a first reagent, selected from among reducing sugars, and a second reagent selected from among primary amines, primary amine acid addition salts, secondary amines, secondary amine acid addition salts, and ammonium salts having Formula Rn- (NH4+)n, where n is a whole number greater than or equal to 1, and Rn- is the residue of an organic or inorganic acid; (b) placing the expandable thermosettable composition in a mold or applying the expandable composition onto a substrate made of a film having a thickness greater than or equal to 1 mm; and (c) heating the expandable thermosettable composition to a temperature greater than or equal to 140 °C so as to cause the first reagent to react with the second reagent and form, via polymerization and chemical foaming, a block of solid thermoset foam. The invention also relates to thermoset foams made of melanoidins which can be manufactured using said method.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une mousse solide thermodurcie, comprenant les étapes successives suivantes : (a) mise à disposition d'une composition expansible et thermodurcissable contenant - un premier réactif choisi parmi les sucres réducteurs, - un deuxième réactif choisi parmi les amines primaires, les sels d'addition d'acide d'amines primaires, les amines secondaires, les sels d'addition d'acide d'amines secondaires, les sels d'ammonium de formule Rn- (NH4+)n où n est un nombre entier au moins égal à 1 et Rn- représente le résidu d'un acide organique ou minéral, (b) introduction de la composition expansible et thermodurcissable dans un moule ou application de la composition expansible sur un support en un film d'une épaisseur au moins égale à 1 mm, (c) chauffage de la composition expansible et thermodurcissable à une température au moins égale à 140 °C de manière à faire réagir le premier réactif avec le deuxième réactif et de former, par polymérisation et moussage chimique, un bloc de mousse solide thermodurcie. Elle concerne également des mousses thermodurcies à base de mélanoïdines susceptibles d'être fabriquées par ce procédé.
