Abstract
(EN) A method (10) of encapsulating digital communications signals for transmission on a communications link, comprising steps: a. receiving a first signal of a first signal type and comprising a first clock signal and receiving a second signal of a second signal type, different to the first, and comprising a second clock signal different to the first clock signal, each clock signal having a respective clock value and accuracy (12); b. obtaining the first clock signal (14); c. obtaining a difference between at least one of the clock values of the clock signals and the accuracies of the clock signals (16) and buffering the second signal for a time at least long enough to compensate for the difference (18); and d. assembling the first signal and the buffered second signal into a frame comprising an overhead and a payload comprising a first portion and a second portion, mapping the first signal into the first portion and the second signal into the second portion (20), wherein step d. is performed using the first clock signal.
(FR) L’invention concerne un procédé (10) pour encapsuler des signaux de communication numériques pour une émission sur une liaison de communication, comprenant les étapes consistant : a. à recevoir un premier signal d’un premier type de signal et comprenant un premier signal d’horloge et à recevoir un second signal d’un second type de signal, différent du premier, et comprenant un second signal d’horloge différent du premier signal d’horloge, chaque signal d’horloge ayant une valeur et une précision d’horloge respectives (12) ; b. à obtenir le premier signal d’horloge (14) ; c. à obtenir une différence entre au moins l’une des valeurs d’horloge des signaux d’horloge et les précisions des signaux d’horloge (16) et à mettre en mémoire tampon le second signal pendant un temps au moins assez long pour compenser la différence (18) ; et d. à assembler le premier signal et le second signal mis en mémoire tampon en une trame comprenant un surdébit et des données utiles comprenant une première partie et une seconde partie, à mapper le premier signal à la première partie et le second signal à la seconde partie (20), l’étape d. étant réalisée à l’aide du premier signal d’horloge.
