Technologies are described herein for providing enhanced motion tracking using a transportable inertial sensor. Configurations disclosed herein utilize a first inertial sensor mounted to a device to determine a frame of reference, and a second inertial sensor mounted to an object to determine movement of the object within the frame of reference. Configurations disclosed herein determine if the frame of reference is established. If it is determined that the frame of reference is established, the first inertial sensor and the second inertial sensor are used to detect movement of the object within the frame of reference.

L'invention concerne des technologies qui fournissent un suivi de mouvement amélioré à l'aide d'un capteur inertiel transportable. Les configurations décrites ici utilisent un premier capteur inertiel monté sur un dispositif pour déterminer un cadre de référence, et un deuxième capteur inertiel monté sur un objet pour déterminer le mouvement de l'objet à l'intérieur du cadre de référence. Les configurations décrites ici déterminent si le cadre de référence est établi. S'il est déterminé que le cadre de référence est établi, le premier capteur inertiel et le deuxième capteur inertiel sont utilisés pour détecter le mouvement de l'objet à l'intérieur du cadre de référence.
