A method of wireless communication in a single radio device supporting multiple radio access technologies includes adjusting measurement gap allocations for inter radio access technology (IRAT) and inter-frequency measurements. The adjustment may be based on a service type of one or more services that are running on the single radio device. The measurement gap allocation may be adjusted by increasing IRAT measurements when the service type is a voice call supported by a non-serving RAT, by increasing inter-frequency measurements when the service type is a high throughput service type and a serving RAT provides higher throughput than a non-serving RAT or other adjustments.

Un procédé de communication sans fil dans un dispositif radio unique prenant en charge une pluralité de technologies d'accès radio consiste à ajuster des attributions d'intervalle de mesurage relatives à des mesurages IRAT (entre technologies d'accès radio) et inter fréquences. L'ajustement peut être basé sur un type de service d'un ou plusieurs services qui sont en cours d'exécution sur le dispositif radio unique. L'attribution d'intervalle de mesurage peut être ajustée en augmentant des mesurages IRAT lorsque le type de service est un appel vocal pris en charge par une RAT non de desserte, en augmentant des mesurages inter fréquences lorsque le type de service est un service à haut débit et une RAT de desserte fournit un débit supérieur à celui d'une RAT non de desserte ou d'autres ajustements.
