A method of wireless communication at a user equipment (431) includes determining (502) whether a user equipment (431) is traveling faster than a predetermined speed and determining whether a current serving frequency is dedicated (504), based on whether the UE is traveling faster than the predetermined speed and/or whether a highspeed flag is set in a received message. The method also includes periodically searching (508) a dedicated frequency from a dedicated frequency list to detect a dedicated cell with a signal quality above a predetermined threshold and switching to the dedicated cell, when the signal quality of the dedicated cell is above the predetermined threshold.

L'invention concerne un procédé de communication sans fil au niveau d'un équipement (431) d'utilisateur, comprenant les étapes consistant à déterminer (502) si un équipement (431) d'utilisateur se déplace plus vite qu'une vitesse prédéterminée et à déterminer si une fréquence actuelle de desserte est dédiée (504), selon que l'UE se déplace plus vite que la vitesse prédéterminée et/ou qu'un marqueur de grande vitesse est établi dans un message reçu. Le procédé comprend également les étapes consistant à rechercher périodiquement (508) une fréquence dédiée dans une liste de fréquences dédiées pour détecter une cellule dédiée présentant une qualité de signal supérieure à un seuil prédéterminé et à passer à la cellule dédiée lorsque la qualité de signal de la cellule dédiée est supérieure au seuil prédéterminé.
