Abstract

Embodiments relate to different methods for reducing computations used to estimate depth information. One aspect relates to using down-sampled blur kernels. Another aspect relates to processing of edges in the images. Yet another aspect relates to using partial blur kernels, such as single-sided blur kernels. Yet another aspect relates to frequency filtering to reduce energy and noise at frequencies that do not distinguish between different blur kernels.

Des modes de réalisation se rapportent à différents procédés permettant de réduire les calculs utilisés pour estimer des informations de profondeur. Un aspect concerne l'utilisation de noyaux de flou sous-échantillonnés. Un autre aspect a trait au traitement de contours dans les images. Encore un autre aspect porte sur l'utilisation de noyaux de flou partiels, tels que des noyaux de flou à un seul côté. Encore un autre aspect se rapporte à un filtrage de fréquences pour réduire l'énergie et le bruit à des fréquences qui ne permettent pas de faire la distinction entre différents noyaux de flou.
