An ignition system (10) is provided with: a fuel injection opening (30); a fuel reforming device (70); an ignition gas injection opening (50); and an ignition gas supply channel (52). The fuel injection opening (30) injects a hydrocarbon fuel into a combustion chamber (20). The fuel reforming device (70) reforms the hydrocarbon fuel into an ignition gas that self-ignites upon contact with an oxidizing agent. The ignition gas injection opening (50) injects the ignition gas into the combustion chamber (20). The ignition gas supply channel (52) supplies the ignition gas from the fuel reforming device (70) to the ignition gas injection opening (50).

L'invention concerne un système d'allumage (10) comprenant : un orifice d'injection de combustible (30) ; un dispositif de reformage du combustible (70) ; un orifice d'injection de gaz d'allumage (50) ; et un canal d'alimentation en gaz d'allumage (52). L'orifice d'injection de combustible (30) injecte un combustible hydrocarboné dans une chambre de combustion (20). Le dispositif de reformage du combustible (70) reforme le combustible hydrocarboné en un gaz d'allumage qui s'auto-allume au contact d'un agent oxydant. L'orifice d'injection de gaz d'allumage (50) injecte le gaz d'allumage dans la chambre de combustion (20).
