Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of at least one cationic polymer in a method for manufacturing an aqueous suspension of precipitated calcium carbonate, whereby milk of lime is prepared by mixing water, a material containing calcium oxide, said at least one cationic polymer, and optionally at least one extinguishing additive. Said milk of lime is then carbonated to produce an aqueous suspension of precipitated calcium carbonate.

La présente invention porte sur l'utilisation d'au moins un polymère cationique dans un procédé de fabrication d'une suspension aqueuse de carbonate de calcium précipité, dans lequel un lait de chaux est préparé en mélangeant de l'eau, un matériau contenant de l'oxyde de calcium, ledit au moins un polymère cationique, éventuellement au moins un additif d'extinction, ledit lait de chaux étant ensuite carbonaté pour former une suspension aqueuse de carbonate de calcium précipité.
