The objective of the present invention is to suppress the occurrence of static leakage in a sealing device provided with a combination of a seal lip and a seal flange which are slidably in contact with each other, and a screw groove arranged in the end face, in the axial direction, of the seal flange. In order to accomplish the objective, this sealing device which employs a structure in which the seal lip attached to a non-rotational housing side is slidably in contact with the end face, in the axial direction, of the seal flange on the rotational axis side, and which has a screw groove arranged in the end face, in the axial direction, of the seal flange so as to exert a fluid pumping action during rotation, is characterized in that the screw groove has an inner-circumferential-side inclined surface and an outer-circumferential-side inclined surface as the internal surfaces, and has a groove bottom part in a circular arc cross-sectional shape that interconnects both of the inclined surfaces.

L'objectif de la présente invention est de supprimer l'apparition de fuite statique dans un dispositif d'étanchéité comprenant une combinaison d'une lèvre d'étanchéité et d'une bride d'étanchéité qui sont en contact coulissant l'une avec l'autre, et une rainure en spirale agencée dans la face d'extrémité, dans la direction axiale, de la bride d'étanchéité. Afin de réaliser l'objectif, ce dispositif d'étanchéité qui utilise une structure dans laquelle la lèvre d'étanchéité fixée à un côté du logement non rotatif est en contact coulissant avec la face d'extrémité, dans la direction axiale, de la bride d'étanchéité sur le côté de l'axe de rotation, et qui comporte une rainure en spirale agencée dans la face d'extrémité, dans la direction axiale, de la bride d'étanchéité de manière à exercer une action de pompage de fluide pendant la rotation, est caractérisé en ce que la rainure en spirale présente une surface inclinée côté circonférentiel interne et une surface inclinée côté circonférentiel externe comme surfaces internes, et présente une partie inférieure de rainure sous une une forme de section transversale en arc de cercle qui relie les deux surfaces inclinées.
