(EN)The present invention provides a method of determining whether cytosine residues present at a predetermined positions within a singl strand of a double stranded DNA of known sequence are methylated as well as compounds for carrying out this method. The present invention also provides a process of producing a derivative of a double-stranded DNA comprising contacting the double-stranded DNA with a CpG methyltransferase and an S-adenosylmethionine analog.
(FR)La présente invention concerne un procédé de détermination du fait que des résidus cytosine présents à des positions prédéterminées au sein d'un brin unique d'un ADN double brin d'une séquence connue sont méthylés ainsi que les composés permettant la conduite de ce procédé. La présente invention décrit également un procédé de production d'un dérivé d'un ADN double brin comprenant la mise en contact de l'ADN double brin avec une CpG méthyltransférase et un analogue de S-adénosylméthionine.
