Abstract
(EN) To permit contextually relevant sound events, such as blowing of a referee's whistle, to be identified, selected and broadcast in a time-delayed audio mix, FIG. 1 shows a system in which multiple directional microphones (DM1-DM12) capture sound events (16-20) from a specific location (14) within regions of a stadium (12) covered by each microphone (DM1-DM12). A processor (34) executes signal processing and sampling of captured sound events on each channel. The samples are compared to reference feature templates (152) corresponding to pre-identified sound events stored in a database (40). If the comparison of samples to the feature templates shows a correspondence, then corresponding buffered audio is introduced into the final audio mix. Sound events can be placed spatially relative to other sound events. Additional automated audio processing may augment or modify the original sound event for each channel when inserted into the audio mix.
(FR) Selon l’invention, pour permettre à des événements sonores, pertinents de façon contextuelle, tels qu'un coup de sifflet d’un arbitre, d’être identifiés, sélectionnés et diffusés dans un mélange audio retardé dans le temps, la FIG. 1 présente un système dans lequel de multiples microphones directionnels (DM1-DM2) capturent des événements sonores (16-20) dans un emplacement précis (14) dans des régions d’un stade (12) couvertes par chaque microphone (DM1-DM12). Un processeur (34) exécute un traitement de signal et un échantillonnage d’événements sonores capturés sur chaque canal. Les échantillons sont comparés à des modèles de caractéristiques de référence (152) correspondant à des événements sonores pré-identifiés, stockés dans une base de données (40). Si la comparaison des échantillons avec les modèles de caractéristiques montre une correspondance, alors un audio mis en mémoire tampon correspondant est introduit dans le mélange audio final. Des événements sonores peuvent être placés spatialement par rapport à d’autres événements sonores. Un traitement audio automatisé supplémentaire peut augmenter ou modifier l’événement sonore d’origine pour chaque canal lorsqu’il est inséré dans le mélange audio.
