Abstract:
(EN) A robot for providing customer service within a facility includes a locomotion platform, an upper sensor for detecting objects within an upper field of view of the robot, a lower sensor for detecting objects within a lower field of view of the robot, a display and a robot computer in communication with the locomotion platform, the upper sensor and the lower sensor. The robot computer is configured to detect the presence of a customer within the facility based on information received from at least one of the upper sensor and lower sensor, and the robot computer is further configured to access one or more databases storing information associated with products available to customers within the facility and to provide customer service to the customer based on the accessed information.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un robot destiné à fournir un service client dans une installation, et qui comporte une plate-forme de locomotion, un capteur supérieur permettant de détecter des objets dans un champ de vision supérieur du robot, un capteur inférieur permettant de détecter des objets dans un champ de vision inférieur du robot, un dispositif d'affichage et un ordinateur de robot en communication avec la plate-forme de locomotion, le capteur supérieur et le capteur inférieur. L'ordinateur de robot est configuré pour détecter la présence d'un client à l'intérieur de l'installation sur la base d'informations reçues en provenance du capteur supérieur et/ou du capteur inférieur, et l'ordinateur de robot est en outre configuré pour accéder à une ou plusieurs bases de données mémorisant des informations associées à des produits disponibles pour des clients à l'intérieur de l'installation et pour fournir un service client au client sur la base desdites informations ayant fait l'objet d'un accès.
