Abstract

A land based dynamic sea motion simulating test drilling rig (1) comprising: - a soil bound foundation (2), - a pivot structure (3) secured to said foundation and providing at least one horizontal pivot axis (4), - a motion base (5) mounted on said pivot structure and pivotable about said at least one horizontal pivot axis relative to the foundation, - a drilling tower (10) erected on said motion base and having a foot that is secured to said motion base, the drilling tower being provided with a hoisting device adapted to manipulate a drill string section in a vertical firing line (6), - a drilling tubulars storage (20, 21) adapted for vertical storage of one or more drilling tubulars (115), said tubulars storage secured to said motion base, - a tubulars racker device (140, 140') arranged and configured to move drilling tubulars between the drilling tubulars storage device and the firing line allowing for assembly and disassembly of a drill string section in the firing line, - a motion drive (51, 52, 53) adapted to impart cyclic pivoting motion about said at least one horizontal pivot axis to the assembly of the drilling tower, drilling tubulars storage, and tubulars racker device in order to simulate said assembly being subjected to sea state induced motion.

L'invention concerne un appareil de forage d'essai simulant le mouvement dynamique de la mer basé à terre (1) comprenant : un élément de fondation (2) fixé au sol, une structure de pivot (3) fixée audit élément de fondation et fournissant au moins un axe de pivotement horizontal (4), une base de mouvement (5) montée sur ladite structure de pivot et pouvant pivoter autour dudit ou desdits axes de pivotement horizontaux par rapport à l'élément de fondation, une tour de forage (10) dressée sur la base de mouvement et ayant un pied qui est bien fixé à ladite base de mouvement, la tour de forage étant pourvue d'un dispositif de levage conçu pour manipuler une section de train de tiges de forage dans une ligne de tir verticale (6), un stockage de tubes de forage (20, 21) conçu pour le stockage vertical d'un ou plusieurs tubes de forage (115), ledit stockage de tubes étant bien fixé à ladite base de mouvement, un dispositif râtelier de tubes (140, 140') conçu et configuré pour déplacer des tubes de forage entre le dispositif de stockage de tubes de forage et la ligne de tir, ce qui permet l'assemblage et le désassemblage d'une section de train de tiges de forage dans la ligne de tir, un dispositif d'entraînement de mouvement (51, 52, 53) conçu pour imprimer un mouvement de pivotement cyclique autour dudit ou desdits axes de pivotement horizontaux à l'ensemble de la tour de forage, du stockage de tubes de forage et du dispositif râtelier de tubes afin de simuler le fait que ledit ensemble est soumis à un mouvement induit par l'état de la mer.
