Abstract:
(EN) A display device that is provided with a light-transmitting shutter element panel (3) wherein shutter elements (3a) that control light transmission are arranged in a matrix and with a backlight panel (5) that has organic electroluminescence elements and that is arranged so as to overlap the shutter element panel. The organic electroluminescence elements used in the display device are layered elements (EL1) wherein light-emitting units of different colors are sandwiched between a plurality of electrodes and single-layer elements (EL2) wherein a white light-emitting unit or a light-emitting unit of the complementary color of any of the different colors is sandwiched between a pair of electrodes. The layered elements and the single-layer elements are arranged so as to overlap the shutter elements in stripes that run parallel to the direction in which the shutter elements are arrayed.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif d'affichage doté d'un panneau (3) d'éléments obturateurs de transmission de lumière, des éléments obturateurs (3a) qui commandent la transmission de lumière étant agencés selon une matrice et d'un panneau (5) de rétroéclairage qui présente des éléments électroluminescents organiques et qui est agencé de manière à chevaucher le panneau d'éléments obturateurs. Les éléments électroluminescents organiques utilisés dans le dispositif d'affichage sont des éléments disposés en couches (EL1), des unités électroluminescentes de différentes couleurs étant enserrées entre une pluralité d'électrodes et des éléments monocouche (EL2) à une seule couche, une unité électroluminescente blanche ou une unité électroluminescente de la couleur complémentaire de l'une quelconque des différentes couleurs étant enserrée entre une paire d'électrodes. Les éléments disposés en couches et les éléments monocouche sont agencés de manière à chevaucher les éléments obturateurs dans des bandes qui s'étendent parallèlement à la direction dans laquelle les éléments obturateurs sont agencés en réseau.
