The purpose of the present invention is to improve the heat generation resistance of the land part of a tread center region while maintaining stone retention resistance thereof. This pneumatic tire comprises: a plurality of center lug grooves that are arranged at intervals apart from each other in the tire circumferential direction and extend across the equatorial centerline of the tire, each center lug groove having a first bent groove section and a second bent groove section; shoulder lug grooves that extend to the outside in the tire width direction in the intervals between the center lug grooves in the tire circumferential direction, such that ends thereof on the inner side in the tire width direction lie outwardly of ends of the center lug grooves in the tire width direction; a pair of circumferential major grooves that alternately connect the ends of the center lug grooves and the ends of the shoulder lug grooves on the tire-width-direction inner side; and a circumferential minor groove that intersects the center lug grooves between the first bent groove section and the second bent groove section and is formed around the entire circumferential surface of the tire. The groove width (P3) of the center lug groove, the groove width (P4) of the circumferential minor groove, and the maximum width (WB) of a center block in the tire width direction satisfy 0.50 ≤ P4/P3 ≤ 1.00 and 0.015 ≤ P4/WB ≤ 0.045.
