Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for obtaining positional information relating to a target object, particularly where the target object which is hidden from view, and not in the line of sight of the apparatus. The apparatus comprises an illumination source operable to illuminate a scattering surface, the scattering surface being within the line of sight of the target object, such that scattered radiation is scattered by the scattering surface. The apparatus also comprises a detection device operable to detect reflected radiation, the reflected radiation being the scattered radiation which has reflected off the target object to within the field of view of the detection device and a processor operable to calculate the positional information from the detected reflected radiation.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés et des appareils pour obtenir des informations de position relatives à un objet cible, en particulier l'endroit où l'objet cible est dissimulé, et non dans la ligne de visée de l'appareil. L'appareil comprend une source d'éclairage conçue pour éclairer une surface de diffusion, la surface de diffusion étant comprise dans la ligne de visée de l'objet cible, de telle sorte qu'un rayonnement diffusé est diffusé par la surface de diffusion. L'appareil comprend également un dispositif de détection conçu pour détecter un rayonnement réfléchi, le rayonnement réfléchi étant le rayonnement diffusé qui a réfléchi l'objet cible vers l'intérieur du champ de vision du dispositif de détection, et un processeur conçu pour calculer les informations de position à partir du rayonnement réfléchi détecté.
