A method of decoding video data comprising receiving a first block of video data in a first frame of video data, the first block of video data being encoded relative to a first predictive block in the first frame of video data, the first predictive block being identified by a block vector, and decoding the block vector using a motion vector prediction process and a same motion vector candidate list as used for decoding a motion vector, wherein the motion vector is used to identify an inter-frame predictive block for a second block of video data coded using inter coding.

Un procédé de décodage de données vidéo consiste à : recevoir un premier bloc de données vidéo dans une première trame de données vidéo, le premier bloc de données vidéo étant encodé par rapport à un premier bloc de prédiction de la première trame de données vidéo, et le premier bloc de prédiction étant identifié par un vecteur de bloc; et décoder le vecteur de bloc selon un processus de prédiction de vecteur de mouvement et la même liste de candidats de vecteur de mouvement que celle utilisée pour décoder un vecteur de mouvement, le vecteur de mouvement étant utilisé pour identifier un bloc de prédiction inter-trame pour un second bloc de données vidéo codé au moyen d'un codage inter.
