Title: DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ORGANIZING THE OPERATING PROCESS OF A JET ENGINE
Abstract:
A method for organizing an operating process in a continuous detonation combustion chamber of a liquid-fuelled jet engine comprises supplying an oxidant, supplying a liquid fuel in the form of near-wall films, or in the form of jets, or in the form of jets and near-wall films, initiating the continuous detonation combustion of a fuel mixture in an annular flow-through combustion chamber with smooth walls using a detonation initiator, and creating a high-speed jet of detonation products using an exhaust nozzle with a central body. A device (variants) for implementing the method for organizing an operating process in a continuous detonation combustion chamber of a liquid-fuelled jet engine comprises an annular flow-through combustion chamber with smooth walls, a detonation initiator, an exhaust nozzle with a central body, and assemblies for supplying an oxidant and a liquid fuel in the form of near-wall films and/or jets. The invention provides for the production of a combustible fuel mixture having the phase and chemical composition necessary for continuous detonation combustion; reliable cooling of the structural components of the combustion chamber; and stable continuous detonation combustion in a wide range of defining flow parameters, irrespective of fuel metering accuracy.
