Title: NOVEL BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY TESTING STRUCTURE FOR TRACKING SINGLE CELL, USING GELLING AGENTS
Abstract:
The present invention relates to: a novel biological activity testing structure for tracking a single cell, using gelling agents; and a biological activity testing system comprising the same. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for testing biological activity, testing drug susceptibility, screening for antibiotics and diagnosis, using the testing structure. The biological activity testing structure, provided by the present invention, can very quickly and simply carry out a drug susceptibility test, drug screening and diagnosis for bacteria, particularly Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Particularly, DST and diagnosis are enabled irrespective of inoculation effects, or only by pretreatment without a step of concentrating human sputum, and thus a test can be outstandingly quickly and accurately, and simply carried out compared with a conventionally developed tuberculosis diagnostic or DST system. In addition, the structure according to the present invention allows tuberculosis diagnosis and a drug susceptibility test to be carried out simultaneously, and thus a technique provided by the present invention can effectively replace a conventional technique.
